HOW TO STUDY THE BIBLE
Have you ever tried to study the Bible only to get discouraged and quit because you didn't know what to do? Would you like to discover the truths of scripture on your own?
The Bible teaches that you cannot be a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ unless you have a regular intake of God's Word. This small group, led by Senior Pastor Morris Barnett, teaches you how to dig out the riches of God's Word for yourself. Be prepared, however, to do some serious thinking and work to achieve your goal.

EXPERIENCING GOD
An exalted view of God brings a clear view of sin and a realistic view of self. A diminished view of God brings a reduced concern for sin and an inflated view of self.
It is impossible to worship God and remain unchanged. The best indication that we have truely worshipped is a changed heart. You will not see thise around you trusting Jesus until they recognize a clear difference between you and the rest of the world. God wants to sanctify you. When God deals with you there will be a radical degree of purity about your life that is different from what the world can produce.

In seeking to understand the positions that different sides hold, this small group provides a model for how to dialogue about moral issues while maintaining respect for persons on both sides of the debate. Some of the issues we will study include: SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE, CREATION vs EVOLUTION IN OUR SCHOOLS, THE DEATH PENALTY, EUTHANASIA, PRAYER IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS, ABORTION and HOMOSEXUALITY.
